Owl Bombs & virtual animal encounters

Ready to add some wild to your online life with an Owl Bomb or other virtual animal encounter? Coming straight from Durham, NC, Piedmont Wildlife Center’s virtual animal encounters are sure to bring smiles, laughter, and surprise to the faces of your students, campers, family, or colleagues. We are able to join any virtual meeting that allows guests such as Zoom, Google Meets, WebEx, and more.

Marvel at some of our most charismatic ambassadors while learning about conservation and leaving with a pocket full of fun facts that are sure to be helpful at the next trivia night!

For classrooms, we ask that we use the chat feature in the meeting if there will be over 20 participants. If there will be fewer, students are welcome to unmute and ask questions, with the direction of the teacher. For younger students, it may be helpful to curate a list of questions prior to your program and share that with us! You’ll receive Fast Fact Cards about each animal you meet to share with your class.

Our virtual programs are now aligned to NC Science Standards!

If you’re local to the Triangle area in North Carolina, we are able to visit your school with our animals! Check out our at-school program options.
