  • Scholarships: allowing all children to connect to nature

    • $370 sponsors a student for a 13-week session of a Woodland afterschool program, 1 day/week

    • $350 sponsors a child for one week of camp

    • $150 sponsors one counselor-in-training (CIT) during a week of camp

  • Animal Ambassadors: ensuring educational wildlife ambassadors health, and well-being, empowering them to help conserve wildlife through the stories and lessons they teach

    • $100 purchases heat lamp bulbs for one year

    • $65 covers food costs for Athena, our Barred Owl, for one month

    • $25 provides a bag of hay for Parsley, our rabbit, for one month

  • Citizen Science: engaging the community in conservation education and collecting valuable data for essential long-term studies of Eastern Box Turtles and other projects

    • $200 buys informative and interactive Box Turtle bookmarks inviting citizen scientists to track  the Eastern Box Turtle

    • $90  purchases a refurbished transmitter used in tracking Leigh Farm Park’s Eastern Box Turtle

  • Professional Development: ensuring the highest quality educational programming and conservation practices

    • $1200 provides Wilderness First Responder training for a backpacking counselor

    • $925 sends one Education Staff member to a week-long “Art of Mentoring” training

    • $500 sends one Conservation Staff member to the Annual Box Turtle Conference

  • General Operating Costs: allowing the organization to carry out our mission of connecting people to nature and encouraging conservation.

    • $550 covers the cost of one lead counselor’s pay for a week of camp

    • $290 per month provides liability insurance for our camp programs
