Put your NCAA March Madness brackets to the test against Piedmont Wildlife Center’s mammal Ambassadors. Build your bracket(s) and compete against your favorite furry friend for a chance to win a 3-month Adopt-An-Ambassador sponsorship - plus a $100 REI gift card for the winner of each pool!

Registration for Mammal Madness is open through March 17th, 2024. Registered participants will be able to submit up to 3 brackets on CBSSports.com from March 17th-18th. Winners will be notified after the men’s championship game (April 8, 2024).

All donations directly support the care of our Ambassador Animals. Piedmont Wildlife Center is an IRS designated 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Prizes:

  • Participants who score more points than the Ambassador Animal in their pool (Parsley for the men’s basketball pool, Pumpkin for the women’s basketball pool) will receive a 3-month Adopt-An-Ambassador sponsorship of Parsley or Pumpkin, including an exclusive video from your sponsored opossum.

  • The highest-scoring participant in each bracket will receive a $100 gift card to REI and an in-person or virtual Paws on the Porch animal encounter.

  • All participants (including spectators) will receive exclusive updates during the NCAA men’s basketball tournament, including video footage of our mammal Ambassadors choosing their brackets!

How it works:

1. Choose which mammal Ambassador you want to compete against during Mammal Madness!

  • You can choose to play against Parsley the rabbit in our men’s basketball pool, or Pumpkin the opossum in our women’s basketball pool.

  • Following both the men’s and women’s tournaments? You can join both pools for an additional $10!

  • Want to keep up with the action, but not interested in making a bracket? Join Mammal Madness as a spectator for only $5!

2. Register for Mammal Madness by March 17th, 2024, using the button on this page.

  • Soon after you register, you will receive an e-mail invitation from our staff to join your pool on CBSSports.com

3. Join your pool on CBS Sports and submit up to 3 brackets no later than 11:59 PM EST on March 18th.

4. Sit back and enjoy the games! Keep an eye on your inbox for exclusive updates from Parsley and Pumpkin throughout the tournament.

5. Mammal Madness winners will be announced during the week following the championship games (April 8th).
