We hope that you and your family are safe and well. Thank you for your patience with us as we have been navigating ways to operate camps safely, be supportive to our families, and keep our organization going.

As you can imagine, this continues to be a very difficult process. We recognize that many of you need care for your children but may be concerned about group settings. Your safety is our highest concern, and we will continue to reassess our situation each month. Right now, we are planning to run our summer programs. However, we are still awaiting final permission from the parks we work in.

In order to provide the safest possible camp experience, we have laid out a new protocol based on the CDC guidelines.

We will continue to offer credits and refunds on a rolling basis for those who cannot attend camps this summer. However, due to the financial strain of ACTIVE fees and staffing hours, it is necessary to increase our camp cancellation fee to $25/camp. This is, unfortunately, the only viable way to continue offering refunds. We also have a set incentives for those who wish to donate all or part of their camp tuition. Our largest source of income is from the summer camp season. Although we were able to get the Payroll Protection Loan and a few grants, we have already been hit hard from cancelling the spring session. Any amount you are able to donate, will help us be here for you in the years to come.

As we work to find new ways of connecting people with nature, we are now offering virtual experiences. This could be an alternative for those who cannot come to camp, as well as a great activity to do as a family.
