Public Wild Neighbors + Tour Program

  • Piedmont Wildlife Center 364 Leigh Farm Road Durham, NC, 27707 United States (map)

Come learn all about Piedmont Wildlife Center and some of the animals that call PWC home. We'll get the chance to meet 3-4 native North Carolina species including reptiles and mammals. Participants will get the opportunity to touch a few of our animals, ask questions and learn about our backyard neighbors. After 30 minutes, we'll depart from our outdoor amphitheater and go on a short raptor tour. This is an outdoor program at our uncovered, outdoor amphitheater so please come prepared for the weather. In the event of heavy rain or severe weather, we will reschedule the program. Each family must sign our liability waiver in order to participate in our in-person programming. Program is limited to 30 total participants, including chaperones and siblings. Pre-registration required at $10/person.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the outdoor and wooded nature of our programs, some parts of the program/tour will be inaccessible to wheelchairs, walking aids and those with additional mobility concerns. Since we are on a City of Durham park, we are limited in the improvements and additions we can implement. If you have any concerns or questions, please call us at 919-489-0900 prior to booking a tour or program.
