Title 1 In-Person program application

Thank you for your interest in our in-person, at-school wildlife programming! We’re excited to have started the Help 50 Title 1 Classrooms Meet Wildlife Up-Close fund to visit Title 1 schools in the Wake, Durham, Orange and Chatham counties for FREE!

To qualify for a free program, your classroom and school must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a public Title 1 elementary school located with WCPSS, DPS, CHCSS, or Orange County School District

  • Your classroom must have 30 students or less

  • Your school must be within a one hour drive from Piedmont Wildlife Center

  • Preference is given to schools that PWC has never visited before

These programs will be one hour in length and include meeting up to 5 different animals including reptiles, mammals and birds of prey. By completing this application, the teacher agrees to complete a survey after the program indicating students’ response to the program. As a participant in the program, each student will receive a PWC bookmark.

Qualifying schools are selected based on a first come, first serve basis. Please note that these free programs are reliant upon funds we receive from GlobalGiving. These funds ebb and flow throughout the year.

If you would like to request additional programs, please include that information in the comment section. We do offer a 25% discount on all Title 1 programming!

NEW: Order owl pellets for your classroom! Pellets may be ordered for delivery during PWC’s visit to your school or may be shipped (U.S. only). Supply will vary based on demand and complete pellets from our birds.

If you have any questions at all, please email Noelle at noelle@piedmontwildlifecenter.org or call us at 919-489-0900. We’re excited to visit with you again in-person!
