Nature Photography: Within Your Grasp
Saturday, March 1st
2:30 - 4:30 pm
Baby ducks are cute!

Al Denelsbeck, local nature & wildlife photographer (www.wading-in.net), returns with his short seminar on tips and techniques to improve your own nature photography. Aimed at all ages and skill levels, you’ll hear lots of tricks to produce photos you’ll be proud to show off, as well as learning some of the common trials and tribulations in the pursuit of natural subjects. There will also be an opportunity for some after-class pointers at the park for those interested.

Search for the Ivory-billed Woodpecker
Friday, March 14th
7:00 - 9:30 pm

Dr. Deresienski Veterinarians Greg Lewbart and Diane Deresienski spent three months in the swamps of the Florida panhandle a year ago, participating in the quest to confirm that the Ivory-Billed Woodpecker is not extinct, as has been the belief for the past six decades. Stalking a reclusive bird in inhospitable terrain presents more than its share of challenges. They'll be presenting their tale of just how hard-core avian research really is - and you thought bird-watching was a casual hobby!
