As a non-profit organization, Piedmont Wildlife Center operates to some extent on grants, but primarily on contributions from individuals. We have no local, state, or federal government contracts (nor are any available). This means that our mission is funded almost entirely by program fees, and donations from people who support our cause.
You can always donate directly to PWC through our PayPal portal - just click here for our donation page.
But there are many other ways to support us! Below are some easy examples:
Take a look at our Wish List of items we can use for our various programs - maybe there's something you have that you don't need that can help us out!
You can join us on Facebook.
Food Lion Shop & Share: You can register your Food Lion MVP card to contribute to Piedmont Wildlife Center every time you shop! Go to this link and follow the directions to make Piedmont Wildlife Center your chosen charity.
Note: There have been some issues in the past with this. If you have difficulties, contact us and we'll work with you and Food Lion to fix things.
GoodSearch: GoodSearch is a search engine that contributes to a chosen charity every time you perform a web search. Just select Piedmont Wildlife Center, then save that link.
iGive.com: iGive has two functions. Like GoodSearch above, it is also a search engine with which you can register your favorite charity. But it's also a shopping portal, with links into major online shopping services like Amazon, Best Buy, eBay, Staples, Gap, and many more. By entering these sites through iGive, a percentage of your purchase price goes towards Piedmont Wildlife Center!
eBay Giving Works: eBay has its own charity option as well. If you're selling anything on eBay, you can select Piedmont Wildlife Center to receive a percentage, or simply all, of the purchase price. Just click here to register PWC as your Giving Works charity.
We have a couple of gift choices available, too - check out our Jr Ornithologist and new Jr Mammal Tracker kits!
Talk to your place of employment to see if they offer matching gift programs (like IBM, GlaxoSmithKline, and many others.) Your donation dollar can become doubled! Or, if you're an employer or business owner yourself, think about offering it as an incentive to your employees.
